Company Profile
Harry G. Kitchin founded Kitchin & Sons, Inc. in 1928. Although he may not have foreseen the approaching depression, he was determined to establish a sound business that would endure for generations to come. His son Sam joined the company in 1948 and is currently the chairman of the board. Sam’s four sons and two of his grandsons later followed him into the family business. Tom joined the company in 1971; Tim, in 1974; Bill, in 1983; and Mark, in 1991. Tom’s elder son, Greg, joined the company in 1996 followed in 2002 by his other son, Mike. Kitchin & Sons, Inc. is a very stable company. In business more than 80 years, we have represented more than half of our manufacturers between 10 and 60-some years. Our 18 sales and service people have an average of 15 years of service with us. We believe that our stability adds to the stability of our manufacturers. Kitchin & Sons has grown its business with its existing product lines and through the acquisition of other sales agencies. We will continue to seek growth in this manner.
